Suggestions for BlueTooth Headset?
With the OS 2 update out, I'm in the market for a set of BlueTooth headphones. I mostly listen to Talk Radio but also music. I don't want to select based solely on the cheapest price, but I also I don't want to spend a ton of money only to find out it was wasted, so I'm looking to all y'all for suggestions.
I would rank my priorities as:
1 Price
2 Comfort
3 quality
Thanks in advance.

I have the Motorola S10. They were a little uncomfortable at first but seem to have shaped to me and are not as uncomfortable for extended periods. They sound fine and the battery life was good. The quality using them to take phone calls was a bit low, but my expectations were probably to high for that. I also bought the Jaybird Freedom headphones. They fit much better and sound the same or better than the Motorola.
I would recommend the Jaybird over the Motorola. I paid $70 for the Motorola and $100 for the Jaybird. - 02-23-2012, 07:52 PM #5
Not sure if you are looking for just a "headset" but if you want something you can talk on and not "stereo" I can make a different suggestion. I travel a lot, and I mean a lot for work. I have gone through a good number of headsets as I am a dumb @ss and leave them in the rental car cup holder way too often. This probably isn't the best "price" based suggestion but I swear by the Plantronics Voyager HD. Simply lasts a long time (5-6 hours of talk time), easy pairing, very comfy for wearing a long time. Perhaps you can pick one up on eBay for a decent price.
For stereo, as long as you are not getting them wet, I would second the dirty's suggestion of the S10. Decent price and sound good. Not too shabby... - 02-23-2012, 08:06 PM #6

I am also shopping for a set. BestBuy has these:
Rocketfish HD Stereo Bluetooth Headphones (RF-MAB2) : On-Ear Headphones - Best Buy Canada
Out of 23 user reviews not much bad to say at all. That's saying something. Best part is probably the price.
I think I am going to go pick up a set of these. I will let you know how they work out. - 02-27-2012, 11:52 PM #9
Picked up the Rocketfish RF-MAB2
I will first say... These were only $40...
That said... They are pretty decent headphones for light use. They connect without fail each time, just turn them on and good to go. I have used them about 8 times for a total of about 10-12 hrs so far and had no connectivity issues.
Sound quality is better than what I would expect. Not audiophile headphones here... What would be the point in a wireless product?
Comfort is not great but I have no plans to wear them for more than an hour and a half at a time in most cases and for that they have been fine.
Build quality is about what I would expect for $40 and maybe a bit better. I have a few other Rocketfish products and while I know they aren't top of the line, the build doesn't feel flimsy either.
I would say if you just want something for watching the odd tv show, movie or playing a game without disturbing others these get the job done for a very reasonable price.Last edited by gregcoad; 02-28-2012 at 08:56 AM.

+1 for the motorola S10. $70 @ walmart and I really like em. They fit comfortable from the start. All functions work on them.

It's one thing for the world to think your a dullard and another to open your mouth and remove all doubt. - 04-05-2012, 01:32 AM #13
Just picked up a pair of the Rocketfish headphones. I'm very impressed. Thanks, gregcoad, for the review. I just found that if you pair your phone and then your Playbook, while he phone and pause buttons will control your phone, the volume and next /prev buttons control media players on the Playbook at the same time.
Why is it that when your contract commitment is up, the phone you always wanted is now old and the phone you now want won't be out until the next quarter?

I've got the Motorola S10. A bit uncomfortable since it's a "sport" fit, however, they seem to work reliably and also support the full range of audio and play/pause/prev/next functionality with the PB's media player.
Another plus: The S10's audio profile supports the Playbook's volume control buttons - so you can adjust volume using either the headset controls *or* the PB's volume rocker (not always the case with some headsets, like my older Insignia set).
My only gripe is with the stereo audio quality when playing music. Very muted/muffled at low volume levels, though they work great for Skype conversations when paired to my laptop.

Bluetooth headsets
I have recently purchased some Sennheiser MM200 in ear buds they pair simultaneously with BBC phone and PB ,have built in mike, volume controls work etc, so I am pleased with connectivity, quality and comfort, cost around Ł100 and cos they hang round my neck I don't lose them, I have used for music and work phone calls for past three days and not really-charged yet
Tim, BB convert from Nokia although still love my N900, Torch, Curve 2 PB 16 & 32 GB

Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand.

Well, they're not exactly the style I want, but I couldn't pass up the deal. Woot.com has the S10-HD for 25 + 5 shipping. They're refurbs, but I think this will get me started and I can decide for sure when I can actually go somewhere that has a few to check out.

What about sound quality for music? Will Sony Bluetooth stereo phones really sound as good as Sony wired phones? I am getting sick of the cord but I want the best sound quality.
