Default Sudden drop in battery health

Well, debrick/restored last night, now my battery health according to Battery Guru has dropped from 87% to 79%. Any ideas what in this process could have caused such a sudden drop?

I think Peter is one of the few that could give you a good answer to that question. I would give it some time and see if that 79% starts to creep back up. Maybe some of the infromation used to give an accruate health reading was lost in the wipe?

That's what I'm hoping, that it will just take some time for it to have enough readings to accurately represent it. It seems fine so far, drain wise though, not draining any faster than it was when it was at 87%

Edit: Well, suddenly it is back at 87%, hopefully it stays there

Your conclusions are correct, and don't worry about it. Health is just an attempt by the OS to calculate a value to represent actual capacity relative to the battery's nominal capacity. Sometimes the calculation goes wrong for a bit, but it doesn't actually mean your battery suddenly has less capacity.
Battery Guru for BB10 tracks voltage, power, battery health. (Also on the PlayBook.) White Noise helps you sleep or concentrate.
