Stream movies from Bold to playbook?
Hey guys,
I have a 32GB Micro SD card on my 9700 Bold and I want to stream movies from there onto my Playbook through "File Manager". Is this possible on the new OS 2.0? I've tried MOV,FLV,MP4,AVI,MKV and WMV file types and File Manager won't recognize and files in there. Music (MP3s) works fine. Any one else have luck/issues? - 03-09-2012, 06:20 PM #2

I use file explorer but when i access to sd card ou my blackberry phone directory, it says empty.http://mypsn.eu.playstation.com/psn/...MoPiou-kun.png

I haven't tried it so I don't know if it would work, but could you bridge your BB, go into the videos on your BB, hit menu and use the 'open on playbook' option?
edit to add: just gave it a shot and it doesn't work
darn

Bridge does not cover videos or music yet.

Its as simple as going into the File Manager app on your PB, selecting your BB Phone Device (it'll prompt you to unlock your device) then selecting where your music files are stored (Device vs. Media Card). It's very limited in terms of functionality but still plays nonetheless. Hope this helps!

I've been trying this File & Folders app and this app freezes and crashes more then anything else I have ever used in my life. Is there not a good solution for streaming videos from our BlackBerry phones to the BlackBerry Playbook? If not, that is very frustrating.
Please, if anyone is using an app that does this, please share your experiences, thank you.Apple and Google, be afraid, very afraid of QNX.

Sorry Android, tried to love your OS, but I found it lacking. Used iOS, nice and smooth, but nothing like the experience of BB10.
If you want a toy, get an iPhone; if you want a gadget, go Android; if you want a phone, go with BlackBerry.

I don't have a BB phone but I was assured this was the thing to use. And that's what the full description says it will do.
Free JeeoSuite - Wifi-Web Portal - Download JeeoSuite - Wifi-Web Portal - Free Apps from BlackBerry App World
Search Results for "jeeosuite" - BlackBerry App World
EDIT - Okay, now I'm seeing something that has me wondering what's going on. In the Jeeosuite Player full description is says:
"- Video ( COMING SOON )"
So now I am thinking I was lied to.
You know, with the impossibility of finding an Android solution, and now this bit of curious info, a person could come to the idea that the powers that be absolutely do not want people streaming videos at all. It seems so incredulous to me that there is half a million Android apps and not one single one that will stream videos....reliably.
EDIT 2 - I think I am fed up to the absolute max with all of this video non-streaming non-sense. To me, unless there are forces preventing it, there should be all manner of apps that will let people do this. It isn't illegal. Why don't they exist.Last edited by Marty_LK; 05-01-2012 at 09:02 PM.

Jeeosuit works for playing video from BB to PB. But they both have to be on the same wifi network. Its done over wifi. Since BB isn't native ad-hoc capable your going to have to use over lan.

I apologize for misleading you with false information. I was mislead...a number of times...in what I was told. And one of those times cost me $4. It turns out to be wrong and this means I have no solution for myself as well. My teeny tiny 11.9GB Playbook is never going to play videos or too many more apps. I had planned to buy a BB phone with a card slot based on what I was told about Jeeosuite and thought it would be an excellent solution to the limited memory problem of my PB. But low and behold if I haven't been thwarted in every effort I mustered to achieve.
Makes me absolutely depressed.
