So I didn't think their would be an actual line up but I'm about the 12th person in line, hoping I can get a 3rd playbook (for the gf this time)

Are they all in line for playbooks? I was in line at Futureshop when the playbook first launched. The lineup consisted of one person - me. Hope the sale gets more PBs out there. I've used it every day at home and on the road. Paid full price but its worth it for me.
Yeah they were all in line for the PlayBooks, some of them bought 2. I was actually there yesterday to try and get a price match but it turned out that they hid all of their PlayBooks and removed them from their displays.
The sales rep told me yesterday that they'll have about 20 on the 18th but right now they have 0 in their inventory. I asked him if they had none or they just hid them to not sell them at a price match he just gave me a big smirk!

That fast??! I just saw Wednesday night bunch of 16gb in their shelves.
The Future Shop I went to was in Montreal, in the AMC Forum to be more precise but I'm fairly sure they're all out by now. They should get a new shipment by tuesday

I'm not sure how many were in stock but between the two sites they moved over 10,000 backorders within about 12 hours.
They screwed up though and allowed people to buy up to 50 at a time.They're going to have a lot of returns when the hoarders can't move them for $300 on Kijiji.

Maybe but its not like rim is going to run out of stock anytime soon. well the price will go back up it will drop again by christmas.
Just a heads up. FS added another 2000 16gig's for backorders on their site. They've blown through about 250 of them in less than 30 minutes. They've also put a limit of 5 at a time on their page.
Just placed an order at BB online, earlier it said sold out for 16gb, now they have over 1800 for backorder. Will be here in less than a week..............better than lining up
One Sears (Place Fleur de Lys) have 6x16GB and one 64gb, around 5 soft shell,3 Zipper soft case, 2 rapid charger and very good deals on video games (ahh Metal Gear Acid PSP pack !) I love Sears for deals but not for politics.
Staples Duplessis (Bureau en gros) had all unit in stock (by order: 4x,1x,2x) and all the accessories was in wire mesh style storage and in this store 2 weeks ago there was a proper BlackBerry Playbook presentation booth and now it's gone !!.... ??? The clerks when I was there told me when I ask him if the accessories was in sale because all the price was not shown to wait next week because all the playbook related things will be 50% to 75% off price. And to top it off, said that the plant that produce the Playbook was shut down. Believe the price reduction part but the shut down ?? Sometimes Staples/BB/FS and other are so hard to believe...
Staples Lebourgneuf (Bureau en gros) had 2x16GB and a few 32GB and 64GB but cannot get a confirmation about the higher memory configuration. And... Playbook presentation is gone....

Have few in stock that I could see trough the glass window but nobody was even close to answer my question.
In the end... For the first time, when I was in a store, I heard/see a few people starting to ask or buy at the same time in my area something related to the playbook. Even give advice to one customer... Is that at sale for the Holiday or the starting of a much, much, much bigger sale..... ?
Wow here in Quebec, today, what I saw is a few customer who was interested... But was not in the hurry to buy some Playbook merchandise as to wait in line and coming before the opening of a store. I guess it's different in some area.
I went to Staples in Guelph this morning at 8:15 and they were sold out of 16 GB (had 8 of them at 8 am). They had one 32 GB (open box) that I passed on. They had 5 64 GB (4 when I left).
I was lucky enough to be enroute to Orangeville yesterday at 3pm I called the Staples there who told me they had 5 x 16gb still available. I was still 1 hour away and nervous the entire time. When I arrived within the hour, I was able to buy the 6th one (display model). Phewf.
i got the last 64g at futureshop last night in toronto (Keele and St Clair). Every unit was sold in all sizes. Im so glad i got the 64g. This thing is awesome
