Just about everyone I know that has a smart phone of any brand has email, contacts, and calendar on their phone. I'm not sure why anyone really needs them on a tablet too, but to each their own.
That issue will never be settled. Some folks would like a larger screen to view the text or attached documents or pictures. They just want it whether or not someone else thinks it is necessary.

My Ans: Based on my personal experience, it will still works! for the fact that I don't owned a BB phone and now I'm using my PB to post this message. But without BB phone, we are only getting half of the cake...
