Default Sirius Canada on the Playbook

Hi,
Searched the app store and tried Simple Browser and native browser, no luck finding an app that streams sirius or using the browsers. Anyone have a solution or is it just not possible as of now? Hopefully Im missing the obvious!

If you update to the os 2 beta (or wait for the official update in a few weeks) you can load the android version. It works perfect.

I emailed Sirius about the lack of app for the Playbook and they responded with, they are monitoring the demand and will notify me if and when an app becomes available.

Unfortunately, the active user base is significantly skewed towards the iPhone and Android platforms, hence, the focus and development investment is targeted to these operating systems. I can tell you there are no immediate plans for new Blackberry development.

However - as mentioned above - there is a bit of hope for support on the PlayBook via the android player.

Hey,

I also fired up the Sirius Canada app and it loads fine, but it doesn't play anything. It just keeps trying to connect to a station and eventually it times out with an error message saying "Unable To Acquire Data Connection: Check Network Connection And Try Again". Has anyone else run into this error? How do I get around this? My Playbook is connect to my wifi network, and everything else works fine.

XM/Sirius Canada, Have been an XM subscriber for a number of years prior to the merger and after. Frankly I'm about done with the company as a whole. They need to get back in touch with their customer base, at those of us who still pay for our digital needs and music as a whole. (Yes I still buy CD's) A year ago I asked about altered payment plans for combined XM/Sirius hardware in the same household after the merger took place in Canada yet still I wait for a solution, their lack of support for the Playbook will further push me towards other companies that are willing to support the platform. Really I have to wonder how costly can building an App really be? If you get just some of your current customers, along with a number of new customers does it not make it cost effective. I recall paying a few dollars extra just to have my account on my BB phone on top of my home system really how much is enough? I fully understand that companies are in business to be profitable but come on really?
