Can I be directed to a link with the most current form of sideloading? (in other words, How do I sideload? hopefully with a tutorial or an article)

You'll find different tutorials, some using different methods and tools. After a bit of trial and error, I managed it. It took me about a day to convert and sideload my 1st app.
The following tutorial proved the most detailed and useful for me : Tutorial: Converting .APK to .Bar using BBHTool

The only tricky thing, for some people, is using command prompts... If you're not familiar with that, you might want to do some reading beforehand.

Yes, you can do it with 2.0. I don't know about the rest: I'm also quite new to this.
