Has anyone had this problem where they press and hold the screen and the entire scrolling/touch action shakes? It would be best illustrated by the sketchbook app. I try and draw a straight line and all I get is a constant zig zag.

This shaking only happens sometimes but when it does happen, it can be extemely annoying.

    Thoughts?

I would contact RIM right away. I think they will fix or give you a new PB

You might need to reinstall the OS. Might just be corrupted or didn't install properly.

Does it happen when the Playbook is charging?

sounds to me like a touchpad interference. Causes may vary but mostly waves related: electrostatic (the carpet syndrome lol), magnetic (speakers) or electric (charging).
May any of these explain your issue ?

This shaking started happening as soon as I got my pd in april. I spoke to rim reps about it and I even emailed a picture of my zig zag sketchbook picture. They couldn't explain it. From the sounds of this forum, very few people actually extenience such shaking. The shaking happens at random times so I have been able to pinpoint a trigger. Charging or not, bridge or not. Doesn't matter. Even if I reset (not battery pull) the pb, it will still be shakey. Then after a little time, my pb will become normal again and stop shaking. I always hope an os update would fix this shaking but each update I do doesn't change anything.

Then you have a bad outlet, it's interference, and or currents in the air.
