I try to send my pics from 9900 to playbook via bluetooth but after I press send it says "file transfer
    Failed to find service"

My playbook is paired with my 9900 via bluetooth already(I'm using Internet teathering right now).

    Any know the problem?

Would like to hear the solution too. But, at present, I just simply email it to another account which is also registered on my PB.

And to think they would have made that a simple option with the new update

So....I'm totally not familiar with your 9900. Say you navigate to a picture. Pressing the BB button does NOT reveal an action item like "Open on PB" or the like ? Then a screen capture would save it. No ??? Doc Neutron

BT Transfer is not right there yet, maybe later dunno? But not right now.
You can try other alternatives like third party browsers such as File Browser, Files & Folders and so on.
You can acces the SD-card of your phone and you can transfer them using the BT-Bridge function.
It only works with a BlackBerry phone though.

Yeah that is correct, latest official. On the 9860 latest official is 7.1.0.190.
And the leaked one is 7.1.0.267 too.

OS 7.1 was the first time the action item "Open on PB" appeared for the 9850. My PB is named Neutrino and so it appears as "Open on Neutrino".

Works the same way on most 7.1 devices, or that is the way it is supposed to.

Use the Open On PlayBook feature.
Hold down the Volume Minus and Plus.

The image is now on your PlayBook.

Only workaround I know works for all files

Download a file manager on the playbook ( I recommend dual file manager xt for this

When you open the file manager the default location is /sdcard. Hit the back butto to go "up" a folder to /

In / there is a folder called blackberry. When your phone is bridged to the playbook the /blackberry folder will showthe contents your sd card and your device memory.

To copy files over to the playbook: first, in the other tab, navigate to where you want them copied to(ie pic
Go back to the first tab and select whatever you want copied and tap&hold to bring uthe menu allowing you to cut copy & move etc directly to the other tab a menu.

You can also open/stream files this way
