    I, too, am having the same issue. I got mine at Christmas - how long is the warranty good for?

    The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

    I too have been having this issue and to note, this has only appeared after the upgrade to the newest OS. I have had my PB since last year around Black Friday and have not had any issues. Sometimes it will take over 10 times of swiping->power button to turn off screen and repeat for me to finally get a normal screen.

    Is there a way to re-install the OS and upgrade only up to OS 2.0?

    I posted a thread recently about this issue as well.

    One user said he was in the process of returning his unit and that rim seemed to at least acknowledge the problem. But the stories I'm reading here make me fear the worse. . (I'm busy these days and haven't gotten around to contacting tech support yet...)
