    Default Scanning speed

I have a Bold 9000 with a 4 GB micro SD. Whenever i add or change data via USB connection to my computer, the phone has to scan everything on the chip to update. this takes up to a couple of minutes. I'm wondering if the PB will do the same thing and how long this process will take with a 64GB PB. Anyone have any insight?

The PlayBook is all flash-memory, i think it will instantly update/be recognized.

Is flash memory faster than the memory in a micro SD card? I'm not up on this type of technology.

Flash memory is like an ipod or flash(notice the name) drive. with the card, it isn't a physical part of the device, so when you unplug the bberry from the computer the bberry can now access the microsd card and scans it to see what's been added/deleted
