I've read a lot, speculations keep going.
As far as I can still read, seems that discounts (excepted for distributor's employees, that have sometimes given away their own coupons *fools*) are much reasonable that I've seen here and there.

What's some requested, and none mentioned her yet (I think ...) is that RIM might also being about to market a loyalty program for existing BlackBerry users, accordin to this article.

    Sweet, hugh ?

The burning question is that if BlackBerry do roll a loyalty program will it be available to everyone outside of North America?

Considering it's from an Australian news chain, chances are good it'll be global.

Considering it comes from ITNews, chances are it's an article full of fluff and BS and not worth the electrons that sent it to your screen.

First sentence of the article is incorrect. RIM sold 500,000 PlayBook during the first quarter of the release and 200,000 the 2nd quarter.

Your correction is technically incorrect too (although it doesn't matter).
Its 500,000 and 200,000 PlayBooks SHIPPED. We still don't know how many sold.

Actually, by the best estimations, the article is correct. Kevin himself estimates that the REAL amount of PlayBooks sold are just under 200,000. I think you have mistaken it for the shipped amounts, not the actual sales numbers.

Well, if they want to lower the price by about $150-200 i will make it 200,001 sold...

That was a while ago. If RIM shipped 200,000 Playbooks in this quarter, the chances are good that they sold the majority of the previous 500,000.

Except the 599K first quarter were mostly North America, while the 200K of the last quarter were largely international shipments.
