I was all excited to get my playbook back from repairing a bad USB. first thing that pissed me off was they changed the OS while it was in so I cannot restore my back up. Second I think they forgot to connect the antenna because I only get two bars on wifi if I'm in the same room as the router. Go in the other room and no signal. tried rebooting everything, tried at other houses, same thing. Dammit
They wipe your PlayBook when you send it in and should have told you that prior to sending. The wifi could very well be affected by the OS. You can also load the OS that you had manually so you can then restore your backup. Yes there is a way to put almost any OS build on your PlayBook. It's rather easy too. Good luck.
