So I've been using my playbook with wifi file share and print to go for a while. For some reason, my playbook decided to get a new IP over the routers, and got a different area ip. All my other devices are using 142.157.203.xxx, the playbook is using 142.157.208.xxx, so I can't use the wifi stuff anymore. Any idea how to reset playbook and force it to get a new ip?

I tried changing the ip, but it just said can't connect to host. I tried deleting the profile, hard resetting and such. It just sticks with its ip. All other devices detect 142.157.203.xxx, only it detects 142.157.208.xxx. All these routers are on the same network profile, but it seems that because one is 203 the other is 208, they won't connect

When you changed the ip, did you save it?

You have multiple public IPs available at your disposal? Who is 208? Is that your gateway or a router some way down the path to your ISP?

Since you are in University you will be limited by their routers. You can't force an IP.
If you want the ability to connect to you own computer you will have to use your own WiFi router. Your router will connect to the schools router and pick up an IP (142.157.20x.xxx). You can then set up your router to distribute private IPs (192.168.x.x, 10.0.x.x) to your Playbook and other personal wireless devices. You can force an IP to your own router.
You can still use the schools routers when you are away from your own router.

So this means that I won't be able to use print to go and wifi file access on the school wifi.
But, my computer has the Intel My Wifi technology, so I can be a router myself. I can access the internet through my playbook when it is connected to my computer. Is there a way I can use this to connect to the playbook? I've tried this but it seems that the computer won't connect into its own network
