that they can't decide whether they want to the PB to the consumer or the Enterprise sector. (Don't take this as a bash as I also own the PB)
The problem is the consumer and enterprise are both very very different sectors with very different requirements and wants. They may have some overlap but in realtiy they are very different.
Enterprise sector tablets should be business centric. Security, external business applications like SAP, DB APPs (or inhouse developed business apps) , video/phone, VOIP capabilities, presentation capabitilies, and email. Games, media entainment, social networking is not a priority.
Consumer sector: all the stuff you see on ANDROID + IPAD platform
Look at the Cisco tablet, they're not aiming it toward the consumers. They're aiming it at the Enterprise sector. They're making it a business tool right off the back.
No fancy commericals with "FLASH! FLASH" or "the real internet delivered".
No commericals with the video app playing the THOR movie or Need for speed.
The PB isn't a bad tablet, the PB was marketed in the wrong way to the wrong sector. If RIM was to market the PB like the cisco I think most people won't be as anxious as they are for all these updates. But then most people probably won't have purchased the PB either.
