Randomly, the messages app seems to freeze and not let me enter text. Everything else works fine, but I can't type. It also only occurs when starting a message. Once I get some text in, I have no other problems.

Any one have any ideas?

i think i know what you mean... it appears as though the cursor will not start blinking and you cant type. however, just start typing and it should work. if i just touch in the box for an email body and start typing, the letters start appearing despite there being no cursor. buggy, but thats a work around for now.

Generally, the keyboard won't even appear when this happens.

hmmm... try a swipe from the bottom left corner diagonally and then touch in the email body and start typing. see if that works.
