Not too impressed with the file manager (from what we saw of it). Guess I'll still be using Files and Folders.

Build .7629??? Assuming each single digit increment means a new build, that's over FIVE-HUNDRED possible new builds newer than the current dev preview .7111. I can only assume that there's been significant progress in terms of stability, functionality and performance which makes me even more stoked for the final release.

slepejs | No release date mentioned? Just kidding
The review is indeed very very thorough. I felt as if I myself went through all the stuff.

While I appreciate the effort, I really wish someone would demo something other than the email and pim features. For example, have they improved the browser bookmark handling? How about AC3 support? Does the bluetooth stack work more reliably when streaming audio to a headset? Any word on vpn support?
This is the kind of low level, niggly stuff that drives some of us insane. I understand that email and pim are the stars of the 2.0 show, however, they don't mean nearly as much to me as improvements to the underlying OS and it's support for common features and tasks.
Really wish a forum member could get their hands on 2.0 and answer some of these questions.

RCK | I'm wondering if there's going to be a "scroll lock" on the Browser, for when using Flash content that requires input.. or Bezel scrolling.... Guess I won't know until the XXth/st of Feb
But good video anyway!

one thing I've noticed about lending my PB to younger folks (me being in my late 50's), is that they tend to use fast, almost manic gestures... quite like the demo guy in this video. My style is more about using one gesture at a time, wait to see how the device reacts and, if necessary, use another gesture. Plus, when I make a gesture on the PB, I tend to do it carefully so I get the result I want. I see most of the younger folks waving their fingers across the screen really fast, not actually hitting what they want, and then repeating with more fast gestures till after a few tries, it does what they want. BTW, I see the same behaviour with younger folks using other tablet brands. It really reminds me of working in the office before I retired and seeing people who would whip the mouse around waving the cursor all over the screen pointing and clicking here and there, frustrated by not getting the computer to do what they want.
Yesterday a friend asked me how I manage to tap exactly where I want to tap. I explained the I look at the screen, decide what I want to tap, then I place my fingertip right there. Most of the time I get it right on the first try.
Oh how the world would be so much better if everyone were just like me!
