    That is True!

if in 2012 Blackberry released a 10" OMAP5 tablet, maybe I could have that for local trips, and when I need to fly use the 7"....

7" is still my preferred form factor, but I can wait till 2013 to update....
It's the "perfect size", that's why there has to be a smaller iPad coming too, (but larger than the mini-me iPod of course).

It will be interesting in about a year when all the major manufacturers have got at least their first tablet on the market and be able to see which sizes sold the best.

I originally hoped for the larger 10" size but after mulling over the details of it... I know realize 7" would be more portable, practical.

If this comes out in 2012, that means Playbook 2 would be announced in Sept. 2012, then release in May/June/July of 2013 or later....

I seriously doubt that RIM would announce a gen 2 device as far in advance as they did the Playbook. They had to for the Playbook to get developers on board because it is a totally new OS for them and they had to have apps at release to help sales. For gen 2 those apps and developers will be in place. They should hold off the gen 2 announcement until not too long before it is released because when they announce it people will want to wait for it and stop buying gen 1.

Best way to do it, not announce it until release day.

Based off what you said, my original message still would hold weight, lol.

    - Devices start shipping in second half of 2012
    - RIM announces PB2 around Sept. 2012
    - Ships devices mid 2013
