Is the Podcast app not loading for anyone else?

I can't remember the last time I had used it, but I liked it. I've found some new podcasts that I want to get into so I went and opened the app... Green circle spins... Nothing loads.

Did BB pull support for it and leave it dysfunctional?

It has been discontinued. It happened way before the EOL for the PlayBook.

The catalogue function is dead, but you can still manually enter in a podcast's RSS feed and get updates for it. If only Nobex would have given the PlayBook version of their app the same podcast features of the BlackBerry 10 version.

Yes, try the link above from tollfeeder. It's gPodder, i use it daily.
It's native, ergonomic and function is 100%. And for me it looks very good, a beautyful little diamond of app
Runs on BB10 too, so i use it on my playbook and my Q5.

When was the last time you used the app? What the OP describes was the reason I decided not to bother with it ever again. My Z30 took over 95% of what the PlayBook used to do. :/

It's been about a month and a half since I last used it. Just trying it now, I can see the issue first hand. Looks like gPodder is going to be getting installed.

Can anyone provide some gPodder screenshots? I've always wondered how it would look on the Playbook. Or is it just the same as on BB10?
