    Hi, I just bought my PB and tried setting up the file sharing thru Wifi several times, no help. The sharing is OK with USB. When in USB mode, PB appeared as a network device in My Computer (Z: drive). I tried every methods in the forum (of course with File sharing and Wifi sharing on) from Run command with IP, or add device, or map network drive, nothing worked, it keep saying "Windows cannot access 192.168.x.x" ( I used the IP address found in IPv4.

    Anyone has any idea that would help, pls? I'm using Win 7 x64, PB OS 1.0.8.4985.

    You seem to have done everything I have done with Vista and it worked. I am not very technically oriented and I am sure that someone will help you. Just came to say it can be done!

    I had the same issue...called blackberry support...they had me do exactly what braindigger said above
    .and make sure wifi and file sharing is on.

    You could also try rebooting the pb (and the computer)

    Press and HOLD all three keys for about 10 - 20 seconds: PowerOn, VolUp and VolDown

    Thanks all, I've tried all of these but still can not, except for the IIS 7, a little bit complicated for me, but it's not basic file sharing via wifi anyway. Is there something wrong with my computer?

    Hey,
    Can you try pinging the IP from your machine?
    Start --> run --> cmd --> ping <IPv4 here>

    Does it succeed?
