I see a lot of highly rated eBay sellers are listing PlayBooks in the UK which are available to be dispatched immediately.

Given that the UK release date isn't until next month, are these likely to be imports, or just sellers who are ignoring the release date?

Would it be safe for me to buy one or should I wait?

They would be imports ie US or Canadian pb's....i bought a 32gb pb from a guy on ebay a few weeks ago...cost me �450 and i had it next day, the guy had them here in the UK even though it was a US spec...wasnt hit with any import fees etc.

Works perfectly fine and have absolutely zilch issues with it.

So id say buy one, it works here without any problems but if you dont fancy taking the chance then wait till they are released here next mth.

I bought a 16GB off eBay from an app developer here in the UK for �300 (which makes it closer to the prices paid in the US without our extortionate tax!)

Because he's not used it, I've been able to register with RIM for the full warranty, plus 90 days support.
