Hi. I'm new to this forum.

I have had my Playbook for 2 years and used it constantly without problems. But on Jan 1 it would no longer connect to my home internet. It seems to recognize the network but can no longer acquire the IP address. I have tried to connect manually, and have re-entered the password, done a retart, etc. but nothing works. Other devices connect without a problem, so it seems to be just a Playbook issue. I am not very tech savvy so any suggestions (the less technical the better) would be most appreciated.

try deleting the network in your playbook & readding it...

I think I have done this already, but I am not sure. (I really am a newbie...) I deleted all the saved networks, and now my home network is the only one that comes up as available, but when I try to connect, I get a message that it can't acquire the IP address.

Turn it off. Wait about 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

There should be a reset button on the back... not sure which model you have... you might need a pen or something to push it in

I am on comcast. The way to reset is to unplug modem, unplug router and unplug computer if you haveit plugged in. Then wait at least two minutes then plug in modem and wait until it gets started up then plug in router and after it gets going plug in computer.

It worked! It was that simple. I am connected again. Thank you, and to everyone else who replied with suggestions.
