Playbook won't accept e-mail acount
Hello.
I used my Playbook very succesfully to send and receive e-mail on a recent trip. When I came home I noted down my username, e-mail address and password - the three lines of required information - then deleted the account as I didn't want to be receiving e-mail on the Playbook when my home computer was handy.
I'm travelling again so just tried to set up that e-mail account again. Went to settings/accounts, and like before went to "advance set-up" where I selected Hotmail - the nature of my account. I added the three pieces of information listed above but always receive the message: "Your login informaton for account (...) has changed or is incorrect. Update you login information and try again." But as I see it nothing has changed.
To verify my account I went via the web to the Hotmail site, entered my name and password, etc. and got access to my e-mail right away. What could it be? All I can think is that I may have made a change on my general settings somewhere else on the Playbook. I've checked to make sure cookies were open, even opened GPS access, etc.
Can anyone out there help shed light on my problem? I leave on Sunday and would love my Playbook to be set up properly for e-mail before I go.
Thanks.

Have you tried just entering the user name and password and letting it do the rest as an exchange account?

For Hotmail, see above post. Please right back with the results.

I also can't add a Hotmail account. Doesn't matter if I use the dummy settings or the advanced settings. Kinda furious about it. Adding an email account really shouldn't be the complicated part of a tablet. Tons of people on the internet post about the problem, but I haven't seen anyone with a solution yet.

I tried at least 4 diff. Versions/variables to setup my hotmail acc't and no joy
But no problem at all setting up shawmail (using Cameron mcd' posting) within a related article that popped up in http://crackberry.com/setting-accoun...ry-playbook-20
As I posted back on their forum within a thread I initiated, hotmail seems to be quite iffy for over a yr. now! Like the majority of corp.' , MS is likely not spending any money on (server) maintenance/upgrades !

My live.com account works perfectly. I just looked at the server address and it says
blu-m.hotmail.com I did not add it manually I put account name and password and let the pb add it.
I never looked at before and assumed it was using m.hotmail.comSent from me using my fingers. Be pantless in 5K. Febreze - for more than smells.
