hi, i was just wondering if anyone knew that if you use the wifi option on your playbook does it compress the data as a blackberry smartphone would. For example during the recent outage even wifi did not work on my smartphone as it is connected to the blackberry internet server. So anybody with a playbook, was your web browsing effected? i wanted to know if my data is compressed. It would save me the bandwidth on my household data.
My playbook had no problems during the BB server outage. WiFi continued fine.
(and my BB phone had no problems with voice calls or "normal" texts, either)
