Since you're asking in the PB forum, I guess that you're planning to use it n conjunction with your PB..What makes you think it will work with the PB?.

I don't think I said that I thought it wouldn't, but I wouldn't want to pay that money and then find out it didn't..

It would need a streaming app installed on the host, which they probably provide for Windows since Air Play is already part of Apple's OS's. This is why RIM needs to support DNLA.

Unless you can find an Android port for DNLA its not going to connect since the PlayBook only knows what a router is when it comes to WiFi.
