Playbook and Torch
Im sorry to be a bit dense, but i love my playbook, coz we can have android apps on them, but am I right in saying that the Handheld cannot have the same apps.

I love my PlayBook/Torch connection as well. And, yes, we're dealing with two different App Worlds. Some of what we find on PlayBook will be duplicated on the marketplace that the Torch draws from. It all depends on what the developer has produced.
For example -- Antair has their Boxee Remote, DelayedSend Premium, Spam Filter Live, and Call Screener available on the Torch's App World. Missing, I notice, is my favorite of their contributions -- Nightstand.
I'm also going to assume that the PlayBook gaming selection is much more rich than what the Torch can see.
