Does your bb have a password? Does it lock automatically?

I haven't had a problem on either my 9650 on Verizon or my 9800 on AT&T with the Caller ID showing up on the PlayBook.

Quick question that I haven't been able to find the answer to. With an alarm clock app for instance, is there a way to stop the PB from going into Standby mode while on a charger? It sort of makes the alarm clock app useless because it goes out after going to Standby.

It's a third party app, but I couldn't find a way to get it to NOT go into Standby even with the included alarm clock.

The included alarm clock works in standby. Though...I'm not sure why we can't keep it out of standby.

My last post was ignored from the confusion but you can close apps this way too (inside an app): posting pics now:

    Slingxshot:

Maybe you want to explain how since "a picture is worth a thousand words" does not seem to help me at the moment!

    Found your other post:

    "
When inside an app, and in app switching mode, "moving finger from bezel to app on the left or right" You can swipe from upper screen (in the middle) to the top bezel, this will close the app. "

Need some clarification. If an app is running FULL screen, can it be directly closed or do you need to first "gesture up from the bottom bezel"? and then use the gesture?

There are times it would be nice or just quicker to close the app in the foreground and having to shrink them seems odd.

Swipe up to the top bezel... this will occur.

Can't get it to work. I opened Music (I tried clock, too) so it was full screen. I then swiped to the top bezel. Nothing happens.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, you do it just before it takes up the whole screen, when there is a slight bit of the wallpaper showing. So, when moving left or right, the app first appears with a slight border of wallpaper, then swipe up.

The Bridge email is often very slow at marking an open email as read. So here is a short-cut - just double-tap on an unread email item to mark as read.

I tried everything, I just don't think its there yet. They could do a 2 finger swipe gesture or something like that. Or, a bezel swipe to go top or bottom (but that may be too sensitive....)

Starting with an app in full screen/active app... swipe up on bottom bezel, this will minimize the app and if you have multi apps up, you will see them all in small windows.

To close, instead of hitting th X below the window, put your finger on the app you want to close and flick up/swipe up... it will slide the app up and off the top of the screen to close. same as hitting the X but a lot nicer IMHO
