Some days I can get 630 after closing something. Not sure if this means a system process has died...

Usually 575 after reboot, goes down as it leaks until I have to restart again.

    Still fast though

490 with nothing running now but if I ran the android player then closed it then that number would probably be cut in half.

You didn't happen to install the old old player and didn't wipe to get rid of it before updating?

Hey all, for some reason for the past couple of days my device is hanging and running very slow. I just re-installed the OS and even going through the set up now it's really slow and isn't responsive at times. Is anyone else seeing something like this? If this goes away after the full re-instal I'll chime back in ...

Title is misleading. Should have said. "My Playbook is slow." The current title generalizes.

Update, odd that it continued to be slow and choppy durring the set up but not seems to be back to normal. I'll chime back in if the problem comes back after some playing around ... but so far it's ok.

My playbook has started running incrdibly slow in the last week. I'm not sure if it started after the last OS update or if it happened when I copied a couple of Gigs of pictures on to it. I have two playbooks (64GB) and a 32GB. The browsers on both seem to be running slow. The one that I use most often(64GB) has just gotten really slow. I'm actually trying to delete the pictures now, using my PC, and it seems to take forever. I've attempted a few times to delete a group of pictures and it took about 3 minutes to delete a group of about 8 pictures. The screen has become very slow to respond. Any thoughts? I also have the Blackberry Keyboard as well. I'm not sure if it woudl have anything to do with it. Just a thought that maybe a key could get stuck and cause some issues, but I don't see any keys that appear to be stuck.

After the last update I had to restart a couple times because things were running a little slow. Have you tried that?
Press and hold simultaneously the power and both volume buttons until the playbook shuts down. It will restart.

Thank you for the reply. I have done quite a few restarts since the OS update. I finally got tired of trying to delete via Windows explorer, switched over to command line and just deleted files from there. It was still slow, but started picking up as it deleted files. During the process I turned off wireless, and bluetooth. No clue if that helped or not, grin. Anyway, I deleted all the files, then restarted again and it seems to be responding closer to normal now. I'm curious if the playbook ha sa process in the background that is constantly trying to monitor files like the pictures I has dropped on to it.

    Thanks!
