Playbook restore encrypted file... Forgot password

Backing up I stupidly encrypted the file and didn't write down the password. I was gone all day and now I can't remember the password. Am I just up poops creek??

I had some irreplaceable photos... About 1000. I'm sick right now.

Knowing BB's security inclination, I think you may be screwed. Search those gray cells and figure out what you might have logically or illogically assigned as a password. Pet, wife, husband, girl/boyfriend, kid, address, anything.....

Is there a way to sideload it?? Now I'm thinking I misspelled it - twice

No way to sideload it as you need the password to install it, so without it your out of luck, so try and rememebrr it.

so after two hours+ with blackberry, it wasn't the password. the whole file was corrupted. 1000 photos and 25+ videos - gone. long story short, back up manually. dont use the DM. Open up the pb's drive and manually remove the files. don't trust the software!!!!

Sorry about that. I generally back up UNIQUE files such as photos, video, voice notes and other stuff unique to the pb MANUALLY. Rarely has DM worked for a full backup anyway.
