Hey guys I just got the rapid charger and want to use it because I know it's better than using the usb port and works better with my case.

I'm just wondering if it is safe using overnight, I don't want it damaging the battery on my playbook.

    Thanks for the help!

Yes it is safe to leave it plugged. The PB will cut off the charge when it's done.

Yes very safe, No issues with charging overnight or all day long. You will not damage the battery what so ever.

I've been using my charging stand since December when i got my PB with the occasional problem of not getting seated right...more operator error than anything. I use "Today's Alarm Clock" as my clock while in the charger. That app makes the stand worth its price.

Very safe to use over night.. I do it. I love the Rapid Charger as it will not damage the USB Port that is needed for backups to the PC.

I think it is only for the PB. Even if it could fit into your 9900 (I doesn't fit on my 9810) I still wouldn't even try it.

Some evidence supporting the claim it's entirely safe to do this: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...1/#post7280844

The charger that comes with the PB is sold by RIM as a "premium charger" charger for the 9900.
