Hey Pythons not that boring argument again I'm betting u'r less python and more worm-size hee.
LOL, that's a plural so unless you believe in aliens posing as humans you might want to re-think your logic....
...Either that or stop spending so much time looking at gay porn.

My younger mates see Netflix as so last year get with the Torrenting man. I'd agree with u re Skype but I got a laptop and nexus 4 for that so not an issue.
Right, & the problem with your rubric there is that you are in the minority...
...Most everyone else doesn't buy "a laptop or nexus 4".
...To COMPENSATE for what a Playbook CAN'T DO.

Most people just buy an ipad or perhaps an Android Tablet of some type.

You should look up cognitive dissonance and re-examine what you just posted..
...Because it's a classic example of it.

Those people ( the majority ) simply don't purchase a Playbook....

As for not putting nexus 4 down, I can well understand that as it's a great device, but man the extra screen size and swiping does it for me with my playbook. Also I have come against the dreaded android app incompatibility issues, with keyboards not happy with my office App and the difficulty in getting Apps to do what I can do easily with playbook and finding Apps that work amongst the dross is harder and more time consuming than I expected.

I'm sure some of this is about learning a new os, But I am appreciating playbook more, and also gradually getting to really like the nexus as well. I'm actually finding the playbook browser to now be faster than the nexus 4, which is very cool
    That's positive.

And still no PPTP VPN. This is aPlayBook, a consumer product, so why no PPTP which is perfectly adequate for consumer kit.

Still no option for backlight always on. At least when charging. So simple, yet not thought its needed? Lol

Not sure why we need this feature. It would draw on battery power more quickly. Am I missing something?

Hey, Blackberry. How about including a password manager in the browser. I'm sick of having to hunt down passwords for some sites because the browser doesn't retain them. I mean it's not a lot to ask for, all the best browsers have this feature.
Is your browser set for private browsing? I had the same problem until I turned private browsing off.

Lol... at least, we are getting nearer... a six sigma is better than three sigma...

Well, I still don't know what keeping BlackBerry to roll out BB10 to current PlayBook... the BB10 Beta version for PlayBook is the longest Beta OS version in the making (or someone has to correct me on this one)... and on that matter, the only logic reason left is, they still undecided...

I am so ******* pissed! This idiotic update seems to have broken my camera. Tried a security wipe, various resets and nothing works. The Video Chat tells me the camera is being used by another application when there's absolutely 0 apps running, and the Camera app displays a black screen and gives me the dreaded error.4003 picture. I'm about to throw this thing as hard as I can on the wall. Way to go BlackBerry!

Rim has been known to fix camera issues even out of warranty so you might give them a call

The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

Having just bought a PlayBook, I have to say that I'm I'm very happy with the performance of OS2.1. I would not want BlackBerry to push out a full OS10 upgrade if it meant degrading the PlayBook's excellent performance.

I read somewhere that OS10 needs 2GB of RAM to be happy. That would make it a no-go on the PlayBook.

My only real grip with the PlayBook is the simplistic music player. I'm looking for a better alternative with convenient jump lists and capacity for multiple playlists. I don't know what's out there yet.
Not exactly. BlackBerry 10 can run off of 1 GB of RAM but BlackBerry Hub itself and OS overhead use about 1 GB of RAM. We will probably see BlackBerry 10 on the PlayBook but we may not see some features like BlackBerry Hub.

I posted earlier in this thread but I will say now I remember before this update I would get the blue bar move across the browser when trying to download and many time it would just stop.I would have to refresh or something to get it the download to complete so that seems to have been improved though I am still having some issues with browser especially embedded vids not playing.

Replacing hardware after your warranty expires seems incredibly lazy to me. And I don't care if it's free; the fact that I'm going to have to go through the hassle of sending it to them and then waiting to get it back is VERY annoying. I am not patient at all.

They said that there were some Browser improvements, I agree that the speed is better, but still no shortcut to return to top page or bottom (like in iOS).

And I'm still not happy with acceleration sensor, it slowly responds.

Abesent a time machine there is not much RIM can do to fix the situation. They have a good warranty repair service. Use it. Just remember the person you are speaking to has the ability to allow or deny service. You catch more flies with honey.
I understand being annoyed and you dont have to pleased with the situation but you can be pleased with the way RIM handles it.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves of forums: people pass of their speculation as though it's a fact; then other people believe them.

Unless the person who wrote the post was a software engineer at BlackBerry and designed the OS memory management and established the minimum system requirements, take it with a grain of salt.
I think Mr. Kevin has reported this.

I actually started a thread a few weeks back inquiring if anyone knew what was causing these camera failures or if anyone knew who to ask (insider info) about what causes them. Clearly, there is some inherent flaw that locks out the camera but the source of the flaw has not been disclosed.

And I do agree with others, while it is not pleasant, so far Rim has seen fit to fix it. SO FAR!

Just got off the phone with support. Outstanding service through and through. The lady who answered my call was an absolute sweetheart and was very much capable of understanding me even when I flip-flopped from Portuguese to English(I tend to forget a lot of Portuguese words so I just fall back on English) and vice versa. She told me the box will arrive within five days and if it doesn't get repaired, a new one will be sent to me as my warranty doesn't expire until four months from now. Frustration gone...
