Hi Everyone,

Trying to sync my music on my PC with my PlayBook and encountered the dreaded iTunes DRM issue. I downloaded a program called 'Requiem' which removed said DRM from the affected files in my library, now Windows Media Player can play the iTunes files (confirming DRM removal) but my Playbook won't accept the files as they're still 'm4p' files which it 'thinks' it can't play.

As I mentioned, Windows Media Player says 'm4p' is not recognised but if I tell it to continue, it opens the files and plays fine, because they're not protected anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You need to changed the file extension to mp3?

I didn't know I could just do that...seems bizarre that I have to tell IT what kind of file IT is, who's the computer here?!

Did it work just changing the extension?

I was under the impression you could open a file in the Windows media player and then export in another format, one that the music app only the PlayBook will play. There are certainly other free programs out there that will do that transformation.
