She's the CEO of a multi billion dollar corporation in the show and the seat bears the name of that imaginary company, so no its not Porter airlines per se but I do expect its filmed in Canada and why they used the defunct playbook. I'm sure bbry didn't have a hand in that being used. Just a cheap prop they could use.

I still find it odd that they displayed the logo tho

Everything Apple looks like a toy and is thought of as a toy.

Blackberry has been in the news a lot regarding business - so it probably looks more professional in the show that she's using a business tool as opposed to a toy.

It's a stretch I know but I'm running with it!!

Recently she was on the series Hannibal on NBC as Hannibal Lecter's psychiatrist.

And she was very good, her character recently left the series a few weeks ago, and now pops up on Crisis also on NBC.

I caught the episode of Crisis with her and her BlackBerry PlayBook last week.
Funny, I was watching this and as she was watching the news story from the screen I was thinking that sure looks like a PlayBook and then they showed the back of it and I shrieked a little to myself, HEY IT IS A PLAYBOOK!!!
It appeared a little too quickly for me to grab my phone and take a picture to post here so I am glad someone else did.

I just watched that premiere episode of "Crisis". Got a kick out of seeing the PlayBook on such prominent display in that scene. It was not just a fleeting moment but lingered for a little while. Great product placement but too bad the product is not really in play anymore.

I suspect that BlackBerry will come out with a new tablet sooner (say within 12 months... or an announcement of firm plans to do so) rather than later in light of their product placements in "Crisis" and the other series pointed out by mattstu39. Otherwise, it makes not much sense to place their tablets in these shows. If no new tablet will be released reasonably soon, BlackBerry should place their new phones in these product placement scenes. Anyway, no matter what, it at least keeps BlackBerry products in the public's eye and mind... and I hope, for better things to come.

I have several tablets of various brands and will pick up a new BlackBerry tablet if and when they release a new one. Well, I will probably wait a few weeks or a couple of months until the price drops as most, if not all brands invariably do.
