It shouldn't be. You don't get notifications on the status bar of android updates unless they were installed through app world, and app world knows which apps have been uninstalled.

It is bloomberg everywhere app and when I clicked the update notice, then it led to appworld. the app status show "reinstall" and yes,it was installed from appworld.

That's strange its happened twice to me in 9 months.
I don't get update notifications for sideloaded apps but occasionally will get a popup window telling me an update is available when I open the app. For android apps installed through app world, I do get update notifications, but not for uninstalled apps.
I had a notice today but for a Lemma update. When I got to the page to update there wasn't a button for that, only delete as I have that installed. Strange but I'm using the Beta 2.1 OS
