Got the last one at bestbuy... Only problem is, I can no longer use my otterbox defender case. Kinda nice with no case, but no insurance against a drop...may still get a sleeve for it for when its lying around.

Just bought a charging doc and zippered sleeve at Staples here in Burlington ...paid $11.88 total for both, including tax. $14.07 - 50% for clearance (charging pod) and $6.97 - 50% for clearance (zippered sleeve) ...

I went to Staples. I. Asked if they had the chargers on sale and manager said the price dropped anyway. So i got rapid charger and charge stand for 9 and 14 $ respectively. She also said these ae the permanent prices for these. I tell ya if you use your s while charging you really need to get the rapid charger. With the magnetic connections it really give s u more flexibility to use the Playbook without worrying you going to screw up the normal charging port.

I'm disappointed with my charging stand. I've been having problems charging but still not sure if it's the stand or the magnetic contacts on the pb. The charging icon indicates its charging but no progression. The usb charging is more reliable...until the port gets worn out.

Check the spring-loaded pins on the charging pod. If one is lower than the rest, work on it with a toothpick or similar, try spraying with those electronic contact sprays to clean circuits. Juggle/jiggle the pb as you place it on the pod. Battery Guru is terrific in determining if the pb is actually charging versus giving what I've called a False Lightning Bolt - use it to determine if you juggle has seated it properly. Two-pin contact can result in the False Bolt.

A wiser purchase would be the corded PB rapid charger (with the magnetic connector) currently on Amazon.com for $16.95. No pin problems and works with some cases. Free shipping with orders over $25.

I was lucky to grab the last one in one of the Future Shops here in the 'Peg. A little inconvenient that you can't use it with a case on, but you really can't go wrong at only $9.99. I'm keeping an eye out for the corded rapid chargers.

Waterloo staples is sold out of the rapid charger and the pod. They have neoprene cases and the shells
Waterloo future shop has the same
Best buy has the same
Kitchener future shop has the same

I "reserved" 2 stands at one of the 2 Future Shops here in Richmond, BC. (The other was sold out already.) When I arrived there was only 1 for me. The worker that does the holds showed me an order for 5 which was getting only 2. He said they can only accept or decline the hold requests; no way to notify of partial fill.

Think I'm okay with just the 1 for now. I really wanted it to make my PB a (more visible) alarm clock, so I'm good now.

Still 1 on hold at Richmond BestBuy under wife's name, but might leave it� (oh the suspense!)

I picked up a convertible keyboard case for $51 and a rapid charger for $7 at staples in Delta BC. Does anyone know why everything is getting cleared out? Is there something going on with the PlayBook going forward?

I was asking myself the same question. I was hoping they'd release a BB10 upgrade for the playbook this year some time.
