I would like to know recommendations for Playbook apps for watching new release movies on the playbook out there now?
Anything similar ish to iTunes out there?
Sorry i know iTunes is a taboo word!

There's the native video store if you're in the US, or you can take movies you already own, remove the DRM (legal if you use TuneBite) and copy them onto your PlayBook. Alternatively you can use the web browser, but I think all of the legal movie-watching sites either use SilverLight or block PlayBooks from accessing the content.

I watch new movies on my playbook all the time thanks to the browser.

You can sync your iTunes movies with the PlayBook via desktop manager.
