although apple and android tout they have a plethera of apps, how many of those apps are useful? scrolling through both stores i could only pick out 10-20 apps that would be useful to anyone. I would be extremely happy if app world had the following apps:

    Netflix
    direct TV
    comcast TV app
    HGTV to go
    all major bank apps
angry birds (just to say we have it, i don't really play it)
    citrix reciever
    RDP app (pocket wyse)
    tether
    simon
    amazon kindle
    xm radio

i know i'm missing a bunch, but have to get back to work.

There's really only one I really want and thats a 3rd party media player that will play all sorts of media/audio codecs and containers e.g the MKV container because I doubt that RIM will do this anytime soon.

I'm sure skype or MSN messenger will make its way on board at some stage.

    Skype (full "facetime")

MLB at Bat (full live games)

    Dropbox

Cross platform notebook app (with dropbox sync)

    Instapaper (my favorite iPad app)

    Things or OmniFocus

    Kindle

Most important though will be BBM / Blackberry Bridge / Docs to Go and the native ones! 999 out of every 1000 iPad apps are worthless to me.
