Does anyone know if it is possible or likely that we would eventually be able to use the full qwerty keyboard on say a Bold 9930 as an input device for the PlayBook over the bridge or just via regular bluetooth. I am leaning towards the 9930 as areplacement for my Storm 2 rather than the 9860 so being able to use the great Bold keyboard with the PlayBook would be a big plus.
I.would suspect that you will see a 3rd party app before it gets added as a bridge feature.
I suspect we'll see a lot of 3rd partY stuff before RIM gets their act together... They are slow slow slow.... But hey, I just got my 9900... And although the wait was painful... It was worth it. I'm glad I'm still a bb fan... And the 9900/9930 is going to win back a lot of lost bb users... (Just my opinion)
I am hoping to get a 9930 to replace my aging original Tour. The bridge works ok, not always stable but getting better with new releases.
I love a real kb and that is one of the reasons I never could stomach an iPhone.
Well the possibility of an app that will let me use the 9930 keyboard as an input device for the playbook is good enough to sway me to the new Bold vs. Torch. I'll be one of the first to purchase the app. If a developer is looking for someone to do some beta testing count me in.
Now need to decide if I wait another month for my NE2 with Verizon to kick in or just pull the trigger now.

Wait the month, they are not even offering a rebate on this thing at first although logic would suggest eventually they will. It took Rogers about a week to slice 50 off. I bet by the time you get your NE2 you will also get a 50 rebate!
I guess I will wait to pull the trigger. I note on this forum that there is confusion over the 9930 pricing so I'll let it settle.
I also noted that Verizon are doing a trade-in program, I checked the website and they will give me $44 for my Storm 2.
If I dig far enough I may get one for free with my free every two years and a trade in. Or maybe I can convince them to do the BOGO, that's how I got the Storm 2 for myself and wife.
