playbook on 5Ghz wifi
ok this isnt a problem as such more of a niggle, ive got a dual band router that does 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneous and my playbook uses both very well auto changing to strongest sginal.
but ive just noticed that if the playbook is connected on the 5Ghz band then App World will not download any apps paid or free
Soon as i switch to 2.4Ghz app works fine. - 04-28-2012, 02:36 PM #3
Mine is the opposite! Both used to work but now it only downloads or purchases apps at 5GHz. Bizarre!
Someone only single band mentioned deleting wifi entries to make them work again but I haven't tried his yet.Bold 9700(work), Playbook 32, Kobo Vox (for my kids mostly), iPhone4S (wife's) - 04-28-2012, 02:59 PM #4
I just tried the 5ghz band and had no problems downloading a couple uninstalled apps.

Is this something that has happened since the update? if so, let me know. im having a similar problem, and its related to the bbid. i get install error 0003-0005. the kb article related to this error does nothing to help.

Not sure but if both profiles are saved and since both are active wouldn't the pb be trying to connect to both?

I have different names for each and it switches back and forth as needed. Both work well using App World.
I hope this helps. - 04-28-2012, 06:38 PM
