Hello there !

I have been reading alot of crackberry since years but never took the time too post something...

So here is my issue / Problem, hope somebody can help me.

I bought an Playbook 4G LTE 3 days ago from a German Wholesaler over Ebay, arrived yesterday but it�s simlocked.
Seller claims he didn�t know the playbooks were simlocked.

Anyway problem is, he and i don�t know the provider it is locked on. I searched in several Forums and Websites
but i couldn�t find out howto get this info.

Any help would be really appreciated..

I am pretty sure they were sold unlocked. Have you tried any sims at all yet?

There have been a few similar posts to yours and usually the problem is the Network Provider. Those that have had the problem have tried SIMs from another provider and they have worked.

Hey !

Nope 100% locked.. every seem card want�s an network unlock code = simlock

Tried 4 different sims from various Austrian Providers..

What is the error you get when you insert a SIM?

Were you able to make it through the setup using wifi?

Have you tried reloading the OS in case it was loaded with the wifi version of the OS?

Hey robsteve !

Did three attempts on reloading the OS same issue.

It�s running normally beside the Lock, synced my apps and such without problems.

I attached you the screenshot..

** Something else, i just noticed that the Charger that i had in the package is an us charger (adapter for europlug included but 100% not original BB). I checked out several reviews and the european charger is different, maybe i can narrow it down now to us or canadian providers **

Are you using autoloaders or BlackBerry desktop software to reload the OS. Try the Autoloader if you haven't already.

I am not sure if this works for PlayBooks, but you can search the imei on the Rogers site to see if it is a Rogers imei.

I assume you need the original provider in order to get an unlock code?
