    I read today on line that there is discussion of a new PlayBook 2 that may see the light of day.

    Hope it's true. I'd buy one in a heartbeat !

    Just get a Z30. I don't think that you are going to get any closer than that to one. It isn't big enough but it's close and it is fast. Still use the PB for entertainment and reading email though. I am on it some most days. Just wait a few more years until the tablet gets powerful enough to replace your laptop. We are almost there now. My PlayBook will last that long.

    The PlayBook started at $500. Do you think a PlayBook 2 would be any cheaper when you consider the R&D to sales ratio?

    When a full Windows tablet can be had for $230, a PlayBook 2 doesn't make sense. Neither do most of the Android tablets on the market.

    If there is a way to make a profit in the tablet market BlackBerry will re-enter. Until then they are not ready to test the waters.

    I'm not into PlayBooks, but many others do seem to be fascinated by them so maybe selling them in limited numbers may do the trick?

    I like my PlayBook, but it'll have to be top notch if it were to come into a saturated market.
    The iPad Air line is pretty awesome should the price be similar... But sure I would go for a PlayBook2 model.

    No. That's the samsung tablet.
    The article in the National Post business section yesterday, Monday March 16, in Toronto, mentioned a consumer PlayBook 2 possibly in the works in addition to the secusmart -samsung-IBM tablet.
