just found out that amazon is beating staples out of the gate with the 199.99 sale on the 16gb playbook. looks like it started today.

dang must have been a quick sale???.. I picked one up at 199 from them...your right though now it is showing back up at 253. my bad I would keep checking though if they did it once its bound to happen more.

I was sorry that I didn't wait a couple days, as I just bought my kids two Viewsonic 7e Android tabs (running Gingerbread) for Christmas, for them to use at university. Could have got them Playbooks for the same $199.

Then my son showed me his active animated background (the planet Vulcan). And my daughter asked me which of the six or seven office packages available in Android Market she should download.

I guess on the plus side, they have to buy sdhc cards to bump up the memory from 4GB to my 32GB (well, they'll have 36). Is that a plus for the PB? Suddenly my full price 32GB Playbook seems ..... inadequate. As does the wife's 16GB.
