    I've been attempting to SMS through PB since 2.1 launch and when I try it sits at the red clock icon and never sends. Worst of all it seems to kill SMS on my 9900 unless my reboot. Any ideas how to fix. I'm using all latest updates for 9900 and PB.

    There was a similar post and the user deleted a very long sms conversation and then it started working.

    Unless you are on a network that allows wi-fi calling this will not work. sms messages travel over the voice network.

    Tried deleting all SMS from my phone and attempt to send but still stalls.

    All I did was run the OS upgrade which simply whirred away for some 35 minutes and downloaded the new BB10 bridge software onto my phone, and since then I've been sending and receiving text messages using my PB while bridged to my 9860.

    So, did you download the new bridge app? If so, are you on AT&T? I've read that AT&T customers should use a "special" version of the bridge as provided by rrory. It seems everyone who has used his version of the bridge app are happy with how it works.

    Other than that, I would call RIM playbook support #. They've been really helpful the few times I've had to call them.

    Also, other posters have reported that the testing over bridge doesn't work properly if you have phone numbers with extraneous characters in them. Best to set up any contacts with just numerals in the phone # fields.

    Leave out any punctuation, although +, (, ) and - are ok as in +1(212)555-1212. Looks like any other use of punctuation marks or alphabetical characters in the phone # fields causes problems.
