So more places went up in price this week. The source, Best Buy, Future shop all back at 499$. Staples has a 200$ gift card vs the 200$ instant rebate from last week. I was waiting for some OS 2 announcements at devcon but nothing about USB host so I didn't end up buying it. Lets see what happens with the price from here.
It will only go down, no one is gonna pay full price for this now that they've had half off sales already. Just be patient, Black Friday I can see a $199 $299 $399 sale coming.

Macmall is still selling at $299 and $399 for the 16gb and 32gb, respectively, with free shipping.
It will probably go back down, or a shift of the price from 32GB to 16GB price and 64GB to 32GB's price if no new PB come out.
It's just RIM's way to sooth buyer's remorse befrore they can justify reducing the price permanently. You can look at the sale price as being temporary, but considering that other companies are clearing stock for the new generation models, it's actually the price hike back to normal levels that's temporary.
If anybody in Canada is interested, I have a 16GB PB Brand New In Box for $300 yet to be opened. I'll pay the shipping to anywhere in Canada. I bought two of them when they were on sale. One for the wife and the other for the parents but my parents don't want it so now I'm stuck with an extra PB. Love the unit but don't need 3 of them in household.
