PayPal locked or restricted?!
I was trying to buy some apps and I keep getting the same message "Your PayPal account is restricted or locked. Go to https://www.paypal.com to resolve this issue." (print screen attached).
I've already removed the pre-approved payments on PayPal, re-inserted my PayPal account at AppWorld (through AppWorld app and AppWorld site) (which generated a new pre-approved payment on PayPal). Tried to buy an app again and same thing.
I gave up on using PayPal, tried use credit card, no luck. I cannot add a credit card (tried through app and the site), it keeps giving me the error "There is a problem with your credit card authorization. (Error Id: 11000)".
Already restarted, turned it off, hard rebooted.
Any ideas?
BTW, I never had any issues when buying apps on my 9700. - 10-07-2011, 12:32 AM #2
How is your paypal account funded? Could there be a restriction on how much is permitted. When I signed up for the paypal on appworld I was surprised by the large amount that was required to be "authorized." I tried reducing the sum but could not accomplish that. But maybe since you are in Brazil (profile), there might be some limitations?

It is funded by credit card.
I've made bigger payments with my PayPal (from Brazil to US), so I'm not sure what kind of limitations would be.
I think the problem is with AppWorld app on the PlayBook. But my guess is as good as any. - 10-07-2011, 07:40 AM #4
Did you try contacting PayPal? It might be them blocking authorization since they have some logic to try to detect fraud activity, and might be mistakenly stopping the AppWorld purchase.
I know that the first time I bought something from my PlayBook, PayPal blocked it, I'm guessing since it was from an unknown device from an unknown ISP (I was out of town at the time). - 10-12-2011, 01:34 PM
