This makes sense, the playbook was just released about few days ago in Malaysia and in London city the presence of playbook promotion/advertising was pretty strong there was like at least 10 playbooks in Selfridges on display for play incl full counters with tech support and accessories showcase and blackberrys. quite impressive really. wldnt even dawn on me that it would be discontinued

OTR Global is a well-respected investment research group...it's just speculation, until Rimm announces it. But they are usually spot on.

Well that bites, they just need to COMPLETE the wifi one and it will sell. Who wants to pay for another data plan? Not me.

An unfinished 3g/4g model isn't going to sell any better and maybe even less because of said data plan needed.
