I treat all my electronics with care: my laptop, BB and PB. I have a lot invested in these communication devices and I'd like them to be around for awhile. I just think it's common sense to keep them in good working condition and I agree with parked that the moisturizer can be a problem. I keep hand sanitizer with me at all times, especially when traveling. It's good to use anywhere for anything to keep those "germs" away. I don't consider myself OCD, but I do try to take care of what I have.

I had to laugh reading these posts - my 16 yr old is a total pig with her lovely white iphone (its only 7 months old) she, as far as I can tell never turns it off, never cleans it and I shudder when I look at it. I have the 9900 so I just wipe the screen on my shirt or a soft cloth whenever I see smudges. My playbook will have the same treatment.

A clean screen is a happy screen.

I use my devices way to much to get OCD in cleaning them. If showing it off to someone, then I wipe it off. If I am browsing something and then tuck it away, it usually is fingerprinted to death!
I used to be OCD about lots of things. Seems I don't give an ish the older I get. Not sure if its good or bad. I still shower everyday though, haha!

Same as BoldtotheMax. Always have fingerprints on it.
I work in a kitchen and my hands are always greasy even with latex gloves on and frequent hand washings. Wipe it down in the morning and a couple times throughout the day, but I certainly don't obsess over it.
IMO if you have OCD about fingerprints, then a touch screen device is probably not for you.Cell Phone History:Motorola Bag phone > Motorola Star Tac gen1 > Motorola Star Tac gen 2 > Motorola Razr > BlackBerry Pearl(8110) > Iphone gen1 > BlackBerry Curve(8310 Red) > BlackBerry Torch(9800 Black) > BlackBerry Torch II(9810 Gunmetal Silver) > BlackBerry Bold 9900) > BlackBerry Z10(STL100-3 Black)

I clean my PB once a day. I am not OCD with it, but I am with my watch. Cannot stand any finger or water marks on it.

There is no such thing, but the closest is the oleo phobic coating that is applied to Apple iPhones and possibly th iPads; a fingerprint resistant coating that means just that, resists prints, unless of course you use your devices while eating fried chicken. The coating makes it a breeze to clean the screen, but if you are in the habit of playing games on your hand held devices 24/7, you will wear out the areas where your fingers are touching the screen when you're game playing. If You Can Read This, Thank a Teacher...if it's in English, Thank a Soldier

I confess myself guilty of cleaning my various device screens regularly, be they phones, laptops, lcd screens, and of course my Playbook.

If I had a screen protector then I'm generally not too OCD about it.
But with my Playbook I have noticed that I'm cleaning the surface once a week with lens cleaner and even going so far as to pick anything that get into the speaker grill.
I know I'm playing with fire when it comes to leaving the screen unprotected though, but I have yet to find a good static matte screen film protector for the Playbook.
Any suggestions people?
