when i receive a bbm or email, i get a notification in the top left hand corner as i should. but when i read the message, the notification does not clear. i am running 1.0.6.2390. anybody else experiencing this? it clears properly on my bold.
Yep. I have the same problem. Thought it was interesting yesterday that my battery life dropped to 9%. I shut the blackberry down and charged it. When I turned it back on the notifications miraculously cleared. Who knew it would be that easy to get rid of em. Lol.
Rebooting never fixes this issue for me. For BBM notifications to go away for me, of i did not reply, is starting typing a reply from the device. That always clears it for me.
For the email, I use my pb and send a random email.
To clear that last email notification I just mark a read email as unread, then mark it as read again and that usually clears it. As a preventive measure, when you are reading your last unread email, use the mark as unread button instead of clicking on another email and that will work.
What sucks though is when I have extra notifications from SMS or missed calls that I can't clear because bridge won't display them.

one thing to check is whether the Bold's phone log is cleared too. i manually deleted 95 phone log entries on my Bold and once i disconnected the bridge and reconnected it my email and other alerts now clear after opening. Its almost like the Bold was constipated. Versions running 1.07.2942 on PB, 6.0.0.524 on Bold, 1.0.5.6 Bridge
I'm still getting this on OS2 - although the most recent version of OS1 seemed to have sorted it...! Not complaining, because overall I think it's a great OS update, but this seems to have moved backwards. I'm sure an update will sort it out, or I'll find a way around it... hopefully!
I think this "bugs" a lot of us....they should just dump the icon if they can't fix it in favor of the flashing LED and red glow. Please RIM....fix this!
