Not visible on Window's Network?
Has anyone else noticed that their Playbook is no longer visible in their windows network? Not sure if it had to do with the 21 updates that Microsoft uploaded for Windows 7?

Just curious, have you done Service pack 1 yet?

Have you tried rebooting the PlayBook and connecting to your router again?
I would delete your home connection and then add all the information again. I installed 3 updates on Windows two nights ago, those didn't seem to do anything to my network and PlayBook visibility. Have you installed any type of network monitor on Windows?Cuius testiculos habes, habeas cardia et cerebellum...

Yes, PB only shows up sporadically. Win 7, 64.
Workaround:
1. Assign a fixed IP to your PB (do this on the PB in Wifi setup or on your router, if supported)
2. Map a network drive to that IP (remember to include /media in the address after the IP) or add the PB directory to your "favourites" in windwos explorer.

I had a similar issue after Windows update (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit - Service Pack 1).
I turned off the wifi on the PB, then turned the wifi back on. After about 3 minutes the PB became visible in the network computer listing. Even when it was not visible in the network listing, I could still connect to it via \\PLAYBOOK-64 (the network id of my PB)
Using WireShark to capture network traffic on my laptop I found that the PB does respond to workgroup discovery broadcasts. But it takes Windows several minutes (sometimes hours) before updating its device list. - 05-14-2012, 10:12 PM #11
There is a nifty little app called dukto in appworld that makes file sharing a breeze between all devices. Check it out.

Thanks for the suggestions
I'd like to thank all those whom posted a suggestion. I'm back up and running, shut down windows, the router and then the modem. Fired up the modem, router and then the computer (windows 7 64) and Playbook is listed back in my network.
