no video store or podcasts on PB!

i live in the uk and i dont have the video store or the podcast app, should they be ther or are they not supported or something?? any one with some info on this?

Video store and apps like video chat is not available for me for me. You should use a proxy such as Us based http proxy to get it as an individual update.

Alright mate - I'm in the UK too. Videochat should be available to you, I've got that on mine and I'm running the latest OS for the playbook.

Not having podcast functionality is a weird one though, why we can't access it I have no idea!

video chat should be avaliable to all, POD casts and video store is a licensing issue i believe.

I think there is already a thread on this somewhere.

I'm also wanting to know when we in the UK will get the video store (I remember reading online that it'll be coming to our cold & windy shores sometime towards the end of the year)

I believe that Video Chat is banned or censored in some locations. Can't have any of that face to face conversation in certain polite or repressive societies.

If you proxy to the US ou will get an OS update which includes Podcasts, Slacker radio and Videostore.

after the prox is taken off...
Podcasts work fine
Slacker Radio is worse than others, i stick to Nobex
Videostore wont let you do anything, it gives the message (not available in this country)

so... was it worth the effort? id say no. all you will get is a working podcast app and im sure you could get these podcasts another way if you tried.
